Our comprehensive Barista Skills Masterclass is for people working within the hospitality industry.
This workshop will empower you with the knowledge, techniques, and expertise needed to excel in the art of coffee preparation and service. You will learn about the importance of good extraction and flavour and how to create that all-important milk texture.
Throughout the session, you’ll have access to our magnificent La Scala machines, hopper and single dosing grinders, as well as an array of brewing equipment to practise and refine your skills.
You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the bean-to-cup journey, from sourcing and roasting, to flavour profiles, and from the intricate details of espresso extraction to grinder set-up.
Our instructors will guide you through the art of espresso preparation, ensuring you master the essential techniques of grind adjustment, dosing, tamping, and extraction time. With their guidance, you’ll develop a keen eye for identifying and addressing common extraction issues, resulting in consistently delicious and well-balanced espresso shots.
From there, we’ll move on the art of milk steaming and texturing, perfecting the silky microfoam for lattes and stable milk foam for the most decadent cappuccinos.
Our instructors will provide personalised feedback, helping you hone your techniques and troubleshoot any challenges you may encounter.
In addition to technical skills, our masterclass will cover the importance of workflow efficiency, customer service, and maintaining a clean and well-organised coffee station.
