Meal Beach
Once I’d started open water swimming again, Meal was one of the first beaches I returned to. I vividly remember swimming there in March, diving into the waves and not wanting to come out!!
Meal is situated on Burra Isle and is very popular with locals due to its sheltered location and beautifully clear water. A family tradition for us is to come here on Boxing Day when we will undoubtedly have the beach to ourselves.

A medium-dark, roasted espresso blend of 100% Arabica beans. It has a lovely, rounded caramel sweetness, balanced by a bright acidity. It produces a good crema when made using an espresso machine.
Euan and Sara roast the beans two days each week at the Roastery in Kirkwall. They will post your parcel on a Tuesday or a Thursday so do please bear this in mind when placing your order.
